The applause died down, the toast were complete, the couple was seated. I started to make my rounds. in the room, a lot of people I did not know and a lot of people I hadn’t seen in some time. So I made my way through the sea of people, toward the island of familiar faces. Hugs were exchanged, kisses on the cheek, handshakes. The friendships renewed, the relationships intact. I made my way around the table touching all who reached out. Upon completion, I spotted a second table, with an equal amount of familiar faces. I paused, standing with my back to the wall/doors, Anne Marie seated in front of me, I looked down.
I saw not what I expected, instead I saw the skin of my legs. Odd at the time considering that I was wearing pants just one second earlier. But no more. My world entered “bullet time”. Quicker than anyone could have noticed, my arms shot down, my pants were gripped and raised to a comfortable level above my crotch. I was silent, my eyes scanned the room. Had that really happened? Did this tree fall in the woods and if it made a sound, had anybody heard it?
Anne Marie. She had seen it. She starred at me for what felt like a day. She sat silent. Then, an attempt to quantify the fast few seconds, “Did you pants just fall down? They did. Dude!” She laughed, I laughed, both of us more nervous than humored. As far as I know, it was an inside joke that only the two of us experienced. At least I hope so.

WOW, Holy Crap, WOW! We just got our hands on dual G5, 2.5ghz PowerMac. This thing moves, it’s sexy, and oh so quiet. It’s sitting on Jon’s desk and I am so jealous. You see it in the store, you listen to the sales team tell you how great it is, but then you get it in your home or office, and it blows you away. First off, it’s so silent. the dual fan, water cooled processors are virtually silent. Press the power button and wait for the fan whine to start, but it never does. Just the refreshing Apple “BONG”, and then silence.
When you launch iTunes and start to rip a CD to you 250GB hard drive, that痴 when you start to understand what fast is. The everyday processes are finger snap quick. Launch a program, surf the web, watch video, it’s all accelerated. Of course the real power is in the processor intensive task. Video editing, Photoshop, simulators, these are all noticeably quicker, but for some reason, the machine is more than power.
The new PowerMac G5 is beautiful. The anodized aluminum case is cool to the touch and miles away from any PC case, modified or not. Everything is a click away. You can open the case without removing a single screw and the insides are O.C.D. organized. We added 2GB of RAM in less than 5 minutes.
Now a dual, 2.5 GHz G5 with 2.5GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive may be more power than you need, but if you have the need, fill it with the PowerMac G5. WOW!

Right now I’m sitting at Jon’s computer and watching Notorious B.I.G. on the biggest f’ing computer monitor I’ve ever seen. This computer is BLAZING. The speed is killing me. G4 – go to hell, G5 is in the house.

I was trying to think when and where I bought my “Men’s Fragrance”, the one that smells like sex & money. I know it was Macy’s (that’s when I signed up for my Macy’s card) but I dont remember which Macy’s it was. I am wondering because I want to go back to that Macy’s for my next fragrance purchase. So if anybody can remember, let me know. Here are the most likely locations, but hell if I can remember for sure: Santa Monica Third Street Macy’s, Westchester’s Westerfield Mall, Century City (pretty sure it’s not), or someplace else.
Jon’s Apple computer arrived today. I can’t wait to get home and watch movie trailers at 10 gigaflops.
Page, send the wedding video over and we’ll get started.
I went to the Hollywood Bowl on Friday. The remodel is great. The place sounds awesome (minus the helicopters every 20 minutes). Caroline and I saw 75 years of Disney. As much as I hate the brainwashing powers of Disney, the music from their movies is pretty great. I had a wonderful time. We did the whole Hollywood Bowl picnic thing and it was a very nice evening.
So I was back at the gym yesterday, and I must say, the place is still rockin’ (with or without Dockin, I can’t be sure). But I did notice one thing. Everybody is getting in the pool. Two weeks ago, I went to the gym; it was four people and myself wanting to use the pool. Yesterday, the pool was full. The bad full, where the water looks dirty. Of course everybody’s been watching the Olympics and now they all want to be like Mike (Phelps) and swim the 100m freestyle, but they are not. Except for the one guy who was wearing the FUCKING SPEEDSUIT!!! This guy was working out in a speed suit, at the LA Fitness. He was wearing the half suit, the lower half (here’s a picture of the speedsuit). There was this guy in the spa who kept calling him “gold medal”, as in, “What’s up gold medal, where’d you get the suit?”

Kirsten sent me a photo from the wedding. From left to right: Page, Myself, Jerome, Ryan, Keith, Albert, Jim, James, Megan, Jenny, Adam, Kirsten, Diane, and Steve.
I still have that whole “recap of the wedding” thing to do. Including the story of my pants falling down at dinner. Oh well, you’ll just have to wait.
