Basically its a great looking music recommendation system. Similar to the guy at the indi record store (does anybody remember those) who knows everything about music.
You type in an artist (ex: Nine Inch Nails) and Music Plasma tells you which other artist fall into similar catagories. They have “HALOS” around each artist. The larger the halo, the more popular (by record sales) the artist. Here, it suggest System of a Down and Tool. If you click on “Tool” the circles will change and give you the similar artist related to Tool.
It’s a very cool site and you can find a lot of interesting and, according to the indi music guy, “some pretty cool stuff”.
